ELECTIONS
We hold Annual General Meetings to elect new Executive Committee members, as well as to discuss any amendments to the CUUNA constitution. Anybody can attend these meetings, and CUUNA members can vote and propose amendments.

Elections
As per the CUUNA Constitution, any member of the Cambridge University United Nations Association has the right to nominate any other member for an election. Candidates for election to office must be proposed and seconded by at least two other members. All candidates for election will be required to write a brief statement of their aims and objectives in running for the office. Before the AGM, the ExCo (Executive Committee), will send an official list of candidates and their statements.

All candidates at the AGM should present a speech, followed by any questions from attending members. Following this, voting is made by secret ballot, and in the case of there being more than two candidates for a position, voting is carried out via Single Transferable Vote. If there are fewer candidates elected than positions offered, an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) is called by the incumbent ExCo for a second election within two weeks of the AGM.
